Skyhawks Earn Podium Finishes and Personal Bests At OVC Outdoor Championships

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- The University of Tennessee at Martin track and field team wrapped up the 2026 season at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Championships with multiple podium finishes and several personal bests.

The Skyhawk men finished in sixth with 47 points while the women's team collected 18 points.

Point Scorers

Khalid White earned second place after a time of 46.64 in the 400m to give UT Martin eight points.
Leanna Rose's sixth-place finish in the 400m (57.65) collected three points for the Skyhawks.
White took to the podium again this time in the 200m with a time of 21.03 (third place, six points).
Rose got two more points for UT Martin with a time of 24.75 in the 200m (seventh).
Will Douglas brought home three points with a sixth-place finish in the 10k (31:29.66).
David Stukey finished on the podium in the 1500m following a time of 3:49.39 (third place).
Angus Monro crossed the finish line in the 1500m at 3:53.05 to add a point.
In the men's 5k, Douglas led the Skyhawks with a time of 15:20.22 (three points, sixth) while Luke Johnson earned two points from a seventh-place finish (two points, 15:21.27).
Ja'Kobe Ward grabbed a point in the 110m hurdles on a time of 14.57 (eighth place).
Ward added on to the scoreboard for UT Martin with three points in the 400m hurdles (sixth place, 54.36).
Sophomore Meg Wiginton captured fourth place in the 400m hurdles and five points after a time of 1:03.45.
Reese Settle got five more points in the 3k steeplechase with a time of 11:22.62 (fourth place).
The men's 4x400 team of White, Tristen Bough, Tobias Tanui and Elisha Lane totaled a time of 3:17.40 which earned the Skyhawks five points from the fourth-place finish.
The women's 4x400 team snagged three points for UT Martin as Rose, Morgan Mitchell, Eliana Oquendo and Kayla Jackson posted a time of 3:52.73 (sixth).
Hank Fisher added five points across two different events including the shot put (fifth, 14.78m, four points) and discus (eighth, 42.32m, one point).
Andy Westbrooks' javelin throw of 51.96m landed the Orange and Blue four points (fifth).

School Records

Ward snapped his own school record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.10.
Fisher's 42.32m discus throw was good enough to top his previous school record of 40.12m.
