MARTIN, Tenn. – Six members of the University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball program will be recognized as part of a Senior Day ceremony tomorrow as the Skyhawks clash against Ohio Valley Conference rival Chattanooga. Start times for the double dual are set for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The group of Sydney Eckhardt, Zara McCauley, Dylan Mott, Olivia O'Keefe, Ryan Rednour and Jenna Vallée will each be honored prior to the start of the first match (approximately 1:40 p.m.). She was one of just three females to win the OVC Scholar-Athlete Award in 2023 and has brought home three career OVC Medals of Honor for a perfect 4.0 GPA.
O'Keefe has tallied the fifth-most victories in the school history, winning 51 decisions in just three seasons while going 20-5 in her career against league competition. She chalked up All-OVC accolades in each of her first two seasons and was one-half of the 2023 OVC Championship Most Valuable Pair. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native is a two-time OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient.
A Huntertown, Ind. native, Rednour is tied with Eckhardt for 10th in school history with 37 wins over three seasons. She holds an impressive 14-3 mark against OVC opponents in her career, including a 9-1 record last spring which led to All-OVC first team accolades while playing mostly out of the No. 3 spot in the lineup. Academically, she is a two-time OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll award winner.
Vallée has achieved 50 career victories in three seasons, ranking sixth on the program's all-time win leaderboard. The Pornichet, France native has piled up All-OVC honors in each of her first two seasons, going 20-5 against league opposition in her career.
