OVC Weekend At UT Martin On Tap For Soaring Beach Volleyball Squad

MARTIN, Tenn. – Winners of five straight games and 15 consecutive home decisions, the University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball team puts the finishing touches on its six-match homestand as the Skyhawks are one of six teams to take part in the OVC Weekend at UT Martin event.
The Skyhawks (9-5) will join fellow Ohio Valley Conference members Chattanooga, Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Morehead State and Tennessee Tech for 12 total matches over the course of two days on the UT Martin campus. Admission is just $5 per day as action runs from 8 a.m. until approximately 8 p.m. on Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22 at the Skyhawk Beach Volleyball Complex.
UT Martin will take on Eastern Illinois (2 p.m.) and Morehead State (6 p.m.) on Friday before hosting Lindenwood (4 p.m.) and Tennessee Tech (6 p.m.) on Saturday. The Skyhawks held their home opener yesterday, defeating North Alabama twice in a double dual. UT Martin has not lost inside its home facility since April 12, 2022.
The middle three slots of the Skyhawk lineup excelled against North Alabama, combining to go 6-0. That list includes Riley Rushing/Dylan Sulcer at No. 2, Kayla Bryant/Olivia O'Keefe at No. 3 and Sydney Eckhardt/Reagan McGee at No. 4.
Current OVC Pair of the Week Dylan Mott/Jenna Vallée have occupied the No. 1 spot in the UT Martin lineup all season while Ryan Rednour alternated between partners Kylie Surratt and Kristin Phillips at No. 5 during Wednesday's double dual against North Alabama.
The three-time defending OVC regular season champion Skyhawks are 34-8 all-time against the five other league schools. That record includes an unblemished 11-0 mark in home matchups.
