
Skyhawk Equestrian Carries Over No. 10 National Ranking Into This Week’s Poll

WACO, Texas – For the 29th consecutive sets of rankings, the University of Tennessee at Martin is amongst the top-10 teams in the country as the National Collegiate Equestrian Association voted the Skyhawks 10th this afternoon.
UT Martin is ranked No. 10 for the fifth straight week after the squad has been idle since Oct. 26. The Skyhawks are 2-3 on the season with all three setbacks coming to nationally ranked squads. UT Martin sits atop the Eastern College Athletic Conference standings with a perfect 2-0 record with two meets remaining on its fall schedule.
The Skyhawks have claimed 51 head-to-head wins (16 reining, 14 horsemanship, 11 fences, 10 flat) to go along with 11 MOP's in 2024-25. UT Martin has posted four MOP's in both reining and flat while claiming two such accolades in horsemanship and one honor in fences.
Elise Mason and Logan Putvinski each pace the Skyhawks with four reining victories apiece while Mason also sports a team-best two MOP's and 71.5 scoring average.
In horsemanship, Lexi Bailey owns a team-high four wins and two MOP's while Kate Davis is responsible for a team-best 74.5 average score.
Elizabeth Becker has claimed a team-best four wins in fences and also has the team's lone MOP in that event. Emerson Maier accounts for a team-best 82.8 scoring average in fences.
UT Martin's flat lineup has been guided by Gabby Adams, who leads the squad in victories (four), MOP's (two) and regular season scoring average (84.0).
Just three spots from the bottom five of the national top-10 changed this week. Auburn, Texas A&M, TCU, Oklahoma State and SMU completed the top-five in that order and were followed by No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Fresno State, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Baylor and the No. 10 Skyhawks.
