WACO, Texas – There were no changes in this week's National Collegiate Equestrian Association top-10 rankings as the University of Tennessee at Martin remained 10th ahead of its first two meets in nearly three weeks.
Auburn is ranked No. 1 in the nation and is followed by No. 2 Texas A&M, No. 3 TCU, No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 5 SMU, No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Fresno State, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Baylor and the No. 10 Skyhawks.
UT Martin has now made an appearance in 30 straight NCEA national ranking polls dating back to March 7, 2023. This season alone, the Skyhawks have been ranked eight times – starting at No. 8 for the first two sets before transitioning to No. 10 in each of the last six editions.
The Skyhawks have been off since hosting top-ranked Auburn on Oct. 26 but are making final preparations for a busy weekend ahead, traveling to Felton, Del. to take on Eastern Conference Athletic Conference rivals South Dakota State and Delaware State on Nov. 15-16.
Plenty of hardware has come UT Martin's way so far in 2024-25, as six separate Skyhawks (Gabby Adams, Lexi Bailey, Elizabeth Becker, Elise Mason, Logan Putvinski, Bridget Vieau) have combined for 10 ECAC Rider of the Week accolades. The UT Martin program also dialed up ECAC Rider of the Month winners in each event (fences, flat, horsemanship, reining) in the month of October and boasted the NCEA Reining Rider of the Month (Elise Mason) plus the NCEA Student-Athlete of the Month (Bridget Vieau).
Overall, the Skyhawks have combined for 51 head-to-head triumphs and 11 MOP's this season.
