
UT Martin Equestrian Ranked 10th In National Poll

WACO, Texas – For the second straight week, the National Collegiate Equestrian Association has seeded the University of Tennessee at Martin at No. 10 in its official rankings.
Only two changes were made from last week's NCEA poll. Auburn kept its No. 1 rank and was followed by No. 2 Texas A&M, No. 3 TCU, No. 4 SMU, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 6 Georgia, No. 7 Fresno State, No. 8 South Carolina, No. 9 Delaware State and the No. 10 ranked Skyhawks.
Today's news marks 26 straight weeks over parts of three seasons that UT Martin has appeared in the national top-10 poll, including all four sets of rankings in 2024-25.
The Skyhawks have been off since splitting a pair of season-opening meets earlier this month, falling 8-7 to now No. 7 Fresno State before claiming a 15-5 true road victory at South Dakota State on Oct. 5.
As a team, UT Martin won eight head-to-head matchups in reining, six decisions in horsemanship, five matchups in fences and three decisions in flat. Two of the Skyhawks' four MOP medals during the season-opening weekend came in reining while UT Martin additionally garnered one MOP apiece in flat and horsemanship.
The Skyhawks are set for a busy upcoming weekend at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Complex. UT Martin will host Eastern College Athletic Conference foe UC Davis on Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. before facing No. 5 Oklahoma State at noon on Saturday, Oct. 19.
