NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2023 University of Tennessee at Martin baseball season will have to wait another day as today's scheduled series opener against Belmont was postponed because of cold weather at ES Rose Park.
Today's scheduled 4 p.m. first pitch time was delayed as the wind chill did not meet the minimum requirements set by the Missouri Valley Conference for starting play this afternoon. Around 4:15 p.m., officials from both teams rescheduled the four-game series to doubleheaders on both Saturday, Feb. 18 and Sunday, Feb. 19.
The first game on both days will start at 1 p.m. and will be seven-inning contests with the doubleheader backend to be nine-inning affairs on both days. If the first game of either doubleheader goes into extra innings, the nightcap will be converted into a seven-inning contest.
For in-game coverage throughout the weekend, all four games of the series between the Skyhawks and Bruins will have live stats at the links above.
