EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Ohio Valley Conference head coaches and communication directors tabbed University of Tennessee at Martin seniors Quintin Dove and Craig Randall II to the league's Preseason All-OVC team, the league revealed today as part of its annual Media Day festivities.
Dove and Randall were part of the 11-man Preseason All-OVC squad as today's announcement marks the first time that the Skyhawks have placed two representatives on the Preseason All-OVC team since 2015.
A 6-8, 210-pound forward, Dove became only the 10th different Skyhawk to secure All-OVC second team accolades after playing in all 31 games (21 starts). He ranked fourth in the OVC and 24th nationally with a .597 field goal percentage (160-of-268) while also ranking sixth in the league with an .810 free throw percentage (81-for-100).
Dove was named OVC Newcomer of the Week three times (Dec. 3, Dec. 31, Feb. 11) after leading UT Martin in points (411), rebounds (161), field goals made, field goal percentage, free throws made and free throws attempted. He averaged 13.3 points and 5.2 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per contest, leading the squad in scoring in 11 different games. He was responsible for three double-doubles – all of which came in a five-game span during conference play.
The Cleveland, Ohio native scored in double-figures in 22 outings, including six 20-plus point games and a 30-plus point performance. Dove accounted for one of the most dominant OVC Tournament performances in school history in the quarterfinals against Jacksonville State, pouring in 29 of his career-high 35 points in the first half.

Randall made an immediate splash after joining the Skyhawks as a mid-year transfer on Jan. 7, playing in 12 games while starting each of the last 10 contests of the season. The southpaw out of Youngstown, Ohio was named OVC Newcomer of the Week three consecutive times (Feb. 18, Feb. 25, March 4) – becoming only the 11th player in league history to win that award three weeks in a row.
The 6-5, 185-pound guard is the league's second-leading returning scorer behind only Preseason OVC Player of the Year Terry Taylor from Austin Peay. Randall averaged 16.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals while logging 33.9 minutes per game, also connecting on 84.6 percent of his free throw attempts (22-of-26).
Randall scored at least 14 points in 10 of his 12 games, leading UT Martin in scoring four times. That included a career-best 33-point outburst at Austin Peay on Feb. 23, as he went 12-of-18 from the field (including a 6-for-10 effort from three-point range) and a perfect 3-of-3 from the charity stripe.

In the projected league race, the Skyhawks earned 154 points – which trailed only Belmont (237 points, 17 first-place votes), Murray State (223, seven first-place votes), Jacksonville State (187) and Austin Peay (180). UT Martin completed the top-five while Eastern Kentucky (128), Eastern Illinois (124), Morehead State (113), Tennessee State (90), SIUE (63), Southeast Missouri (49) and Tennessee Tech (36) rounded out the poll.
The Skyhawks will host Earlham College in an exhibition on Thursday, Oct. 31 before officially opening the 2019-20 campaign at home against St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Nov. 5.
