TJ Minnifee enters his second season as a graduate assistant coach at UT Martin since joining the staff in the summer of 2022. His primary focus is with the tight ends while previously serving as an assistant with the linebackers and special teams.
Minnifee joins the Skyhawk coaching staff after a four-year playing career at UT Martin. The defensive lineman appeared in one game from 2018-21, making his lone appearance against Tennessee State in 2020.
Prior to his playing days at UT Martin, he spent one season at Tennessee where he did not see game action for head coach Butch Jones. Before that he prepped at Wilson Central High School where he was a two-time all-county selection and picked up an All-Region 4 6A honor.
