Danny Modelski enters his second season as an assistant at UT Martin, serving as the program’s quarterbacks coach for the 2025 season.
In his first season with the Skyhawks, Modelski mentored quarterback Kinkead Dent and an offense which set school records for total offense (5,249 yards) and first downs (255). UT Martin also boasted the Big South-OVC's top scoring offense at 31.4 points per outing and best red zone offense at an 87.8 percent conversion rate.
Prior to joining the Skyhawks, Modelski served as a quarterback graduate assistant at Central Michigan during from 2021-23. Before his stint with the Chippewas, he spent two seasons as a defensive quality control coach at Brown University from 2019-21.
He also enjoyed a stint as a scouting assistant and assistant to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mick McCall at Northwestern. Duties included unofficial and official visits, video and breakdown of NFL film for the offensive staff along with coaching quarterbacks at the Northwestern Prospect Showcase Camps and Throw It Deep Passing Academy.
During his prep career he was a two-year starter at quarterback and earned IHSA All-State honors at Conant High School.
A native of Hoffman Estate, Ill., Modelski earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and rhetorical studies from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Fla. in 2017.
