Phillips Leads Skyhawks On Day 2 Of Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC – The second round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge took place today at True Blue Golf Club as Grant Phillips carded a 71 (-1) to pace the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Phillips' scorecard this morning included a pair of birdies, 15 pars and one bogey as the senior from Marietta, Ga. shaved four strokes off his Round 1 tally.
Drew Williams posted a pair of birdies on the way to a 73 (+1) today while Lucas Herring managed a team-best four birdies as part of a 74 (+2). Luke Beadles (74, +2) tallied one birdie and 14 pars as the Skyhawks' final countable score from Round 2.
UT Martin shot a 292 (+4) today, which included 10 combined birdies and just 11 bogeys by its five-man scoring lineup. The Skyhawks currently rank ninth in the field with a score of 582 (+6) through 36 holes, ranking third in the field in par-3 scoring (3.10, +5).
For the tournament, Williams ranks seventh out of 86 participants with a two-round total of 139 (-5). He ranks in the top-10 in the tournament in par-3 scoring average (2.90, sixth), birdies (9, eighth) and par-4 scoring average (3.94, ninth).
Herring's 145 (+1) is next for UT Martin as he ranks eighth in the field with nine birdies and 11th in the event with a 4.60 (-4) par-5 scoring average. Phillips follows closely behind with a 146 (+2) thanks to a team-best 24 pars so far. Regan Kueker shot a 78 (+6) with one birdie today, bringing his two-round tally to 156 (+12) while Beadles is responsible for a 158 (+14).
A split tee time is in store for tomorrow's third and final round as the Skyhawks are paired up with Tennessee Tech and Old Dominion. UT Martin will tee off on Hole No. 1 with Beadles (6:25 a.m. CT), Kueker (6:34), Phillips (6:43), Herring (6:52) and Williams (7:01) closing out the first tournament of the 2026-27 campaign.
