Skyhawks Open Home Slate Thursday Against Middle Tennessee

MARTIN, Tenn. – After a strong opening weekend, the University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team makes its 2026 debut at Skyhawk Soccer Field Thursday at 7 p.m. against Middle Tennessee.
The Skyhawks went 1-0-1 as they opened their 2026 campaign with a thrilling last-minute draw at Chattanooga and a blowout 4-0 win at Chicago State. The Mocs went ahead in the opener with a goal in the 77th minute, but Allie Carroll drew a penalty kick in the 90th minute and coolly converted to deliver the tie for her team.
At Chicago State, UT Martin came alive in the second half, scoring four goals on 18 shots. Unni Wolf led the Skyhawks with two goals, while Alex Weihs and Alberte Amby each had a goal with Weihs adding two assists.
Mac Titus recorded her first shutout of the season against the Cougars, earning the 11th clean sheet of her career and moving her into third all-time in program history.
Middle Tennessee enters Thursday's match at 2-0-0 on the year after a pair of 2-0 victories at home against Troy and on the road at Southern Indiana. Ania Denham and Hannah Murphy, on a penalty kick, scored for the Blue Raiders against the Trojans, while Hailey Phillips and Megan Carroll did the honors against the Screaming Eagles.
In goal, Demi Gornauer has logged 83 minutes with one save and a shutout, while Ella Sellers has 97 minutes with five saves and two shutouts.
Thursday's match will be the ninth all-time meeting between the two teams, with Middle Tennessee leading the series 5-2-1. The last meeting between the Skyhawks and the Blue Raiders came in 2019 in Murfreesboro when Middle Tennessee walked away with a 2-1 win.
