MARTIN, Tenn. – Redshirt junior Kenley McCarn of the University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team has been named as an All-Ohio Valley Conference honoree for the third time in her career, the league announced Tuesday. She earned first-team honors this season and in 2023-24 and second-team honors in 2024-25.
She joins Heather Butler, Jasmine Newsome and Chelsea Perry as the only Skyhawks to earn at least three All-OVC accolades in their careers.
"Kenley has been a model of consistency throughout her career," said head coach Kevin McMillan. "She is with an elite group of players who have been first team, and her work ethic, effort and competitiveness are what set her apart."
The Melbourne, Arkansas native led the Skyhawks in scoring and finished the regular season fourth in the OVC with 16.0 points per game. She has recorded double-digits in points in 27 of 29 games for UT Martin this season. On Jan. 17 at home against Lindenwood, she set a new career-high of 40 points, becoming the first Skyhawk to hit the 40-point mark since 2019.
She is second on the team in rebounding at 5.3 per game and notched the first two double-doubles of her career this season, each with a career-best 10 boards. McCarn scored 19 points in the regular-season finale against Tennessee State to become just the seventh player in program history to eclipse the 1,500-point plateau.
Under the tutelage of McMillian, 22 different student-athletes have received 60 OVC accolades, including six Players of the Year, four Defensive Players of the Year, four Freshmen of the Year, 21 All-OVC first team selections, 10 players named to the All-OVC second team and 15 players earning OVC All-Newcomer honors.
McCarn and the sixth-seeded Skyhawks now turn their attention to the 2026 OVC Women's Basketball Championship at the Ford Center in Evansville. UT Martin opens play in the tournament Wednesday, when they take on seventh-seeded SIUE at 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
