MARTIN, Tenn. - University of Tennessee at Martin head women's basketball coach Kevin McMillan announced the signing of four transfer student-athletes Thursday who will become Skyhawks for the 2026-27 season.
"This group represents exactly what we're about: great teammates who are competitors who value toughness, hard work, and are committed to winning," said McMillan of the four signees. "They each bring different strengths, but they all share the same mindset: team first, do the work, and compete every day. That's what we built this program on and those are the standards that we hold ourselves to."

Chloe Chard Peloquin • 6-3 • F • Sr. • Johnstown, Ohio (Wright State)
Chloe Chard Peloquin arrives at UT Martin via Wright State and Canisius and will have one year of eligibility remaining. She appeared in and started the first seven games of the season for Wright State, before sitting out the rest of the season. In those seven games, she averaged 7.7 points and 6.6 rebounds. As a redshirt sophomore, she appeared in 29 games for Wright State and 22 games for Canisius.
McMillan on Chloe Chard Peloquin: "Chloe is a competitor with size, skill, and toughness. At 6-3, she gives us the ability to stretch the floor with her shooting and ball handling while also scoring inside and battling in the paint. She's a hard worker who wants to win and is willing to do whatever it takes for her team. What stands out most is that she's a great teammate, physical, unselfish and willing to do the tough things that impact winning."
Sophie Chard Peloquin • 6-0 • G • Fr. • Johnstown, Ohio (Findlay)
Sophie Chard Peloquin comes to the Skyhawks after redshirting last year as a freshman at Division II Findlay. She had a successful prep career at Newark Catholic High School during which was named a Division VI All-Ohio selection as a senior. During her final two years at Newark Catholic, Chard Peloquin averaged 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game and left the Green Wave as its all-time leader in assists.
McMillan on Sophie Chard Peloquin: "Sophie is the definition of a competitor. She's tough, versatile and can play and defend multiple positions, which gives us tremendous flexibility. She has a deep range from three and sees the floor exceptionally well. She's a hard worker who takes pride in doing things the right way and competing on every possession. Most importantly, she's a great teammate who wants to win and brings a level of consistency and toughness that elevates everyone around her."
Tyler Jones • 5-9 • G • So. • Memphis, Tenn. (New Mexico)
Jones comes to UT Martin after spending her freshman season at New Mexico. In the 2025-26 season, she appeared in 24 games for the Lobos and averaged 6.7 minutes per game. She was a highly decorated high school player at Hutchinson, earning All-State honors from the Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee, the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and the Tennessee Report. Jones was also named the TSSAA Division II-AA West Region Player of the Year and was a 2025 TSSAA Miss Basketball finalist.
McMillan on Jones: "Tyler is an athletic, competitive guard who brings toughness and versatility to our program. She can distribute or slash on offense and guard multiple positions on defense and isn't afraid of hard work or physical play. She wants to win, has a high basketball IQ, competes at a high level and does the little things that matter. Tyler is also a great teammate who brings energy and competitiveness every day."
Alorian Story • 6-0 • C • Jr. • Ripley, Miss. (Northwest Mississippi CC)
Story is coming off a 2025-26 campaign at Northwest Mississippi, in which she was named an NJCAA Division I All-American. She averaged 16.1 points and 13.4 rebounds, which finished as the fourth-highest rebounding total in the nation. She notched 25 double-doubles in 32 games last season, including a streak of 13 straight. In her freshman campaign with the Rangers, she led her team with 14.0 points per game, along with 9.8 rebounds. She also averaged just under 1.0 block per game in her time at Northwest Mississippi, tallying 50 in 56 games.
McMillan on Story: "Alorian is a strong, physical competitor who does not back down and produces. She's proven she can consistently produce double-doubles and she does it through hard work, physicality and relentless effort. She wants to win, competes on every possession and brings an edge to everything she does. Just as important, she's a great teammate who embraces the work and the responsibility that comes with winning."
The four transfers announced Thursday join the five high school players who signed with the Skyhawks in November.
"This group represents exactly what we're about: great teammates who are competitors who value toughness, hard work, and are committed to winning," said McMillan of the four signees. "They each bring different strengths, but they all share the same mindset: team first, do the work, and compete every day.
