
Sitton Earns OVC Pitcher of the Week Accolades

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- University of Tennessee at Martin baseball standout Jacob Sitton has been named Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career after a tremendous start against Bradley.

The Bradford, Tenn. native earned his first win of the season on Friday afternoon after matching a career-best in innings pitched (seven) and strikeouts (eight). He allowed just three hits and no runs to help lead the Skyhawks to a 17-2 win over the Braves.

The senior has started his 2026 campaign as one of the best arms in the OVC. He ranks among the league leaders in strikeouts (third, 17), batters struck out looking (third, four), earned run average (sixth, 2.25) and innings pitched (sixth).

He becomes the 19th UT Martin pitcher all-time to be named OVC Pitcher of the Week, and first since Tristan Walton on April 1, 2024.

Sitton and the Skyhawks continue their season-long homestand when they host Mississippi Valley State this weekend.
