- The University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball opened the fourth quarter of Saturday's game at SIUE on a 10-0 run, but it was not enough as the Skyhawks fell to the Cougars, 62-52, at First Community Arena in Edwardsville. It was a slow first half for UT Martin as they scored just 14 points, including only five in the second quarter, and trailed 34-14 at the half. In the third quarter, the Skyhawks seemed to find their groove, scoring 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting, but they still trailed by 16 at the end of the period. In the fourth, UT Martin got off to a hot start, opening the quarter on a 10-0 run, cutting the SIUE lead to just six. However, from that point on, they were outscored 9-3 and held to zero field goals for nearly the final four minutes of the contest. Kenley McCarn led UT Martin in the game with 15 points and three steals, while Sidni Middleton had 13 points and Grace Billington added 11. Zy Thompson finished the game with team-highs of 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
