
Skyhawks Return From Break With Solid Showing In Alaska

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The 20th-ranked University of Tennessee at Martin rifle team fired a 4630 in their return to action Saturday at the Tanana Valley Sportsmen's Association in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Skyhawks shot against No. 4 TCU and hosts ninth-ranked Alaska Fairbanks, which shot a 4734 and a 4731, respectively.
UT Martin shot a 2293 in smallbore led by a career-high 578 from Olivia Harvey. Joey Kovach followed with a 573, while Sophia Ashford was next in line with a 572. In air rifle, the Skyhawks, shot a 2337, paced by a 587 from Ashford. Aubrey Chenoweth was next for UT Martin at 585, while Kovach shot a 584. Rachel Haines tied her career-high in air rifle on the day with a 579.
UT Martin returns to action in Fairbanks Sunday when they once again take on TCU and the host Nanooks.
