Second Half Rally Not Enough For Skyhawks at Southern Indiana Saturday

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team outscored Southern Indiana in the second half of Saturday's game at Liberty Arena in Evansville, but it was ultimately not enough as the Skyhawks fell to the Screaming Eagles, 52-43.
UT Martin led, 9-8, after the first quarter, but Southern Indiana opened the second on a 14-0 run and eventually outscored the Skyhawks, 23-9, in the frame. UT Martin outscored the Screaming Eagles in both the third and fourth quarters, but it was not enough to close the gap, as USI held on for the nine-point win.
Kenley McCarn led the Skyhawks in scoring and rebounding in the game with 17 points and eight rebounds. Brittani Wells added seven points and four rebounds, while Norah Clark chipped in with four points, five rebounds and three assists.
The Skyhawks return home to the Kathleen & Tom Elam Center on Thursday to host SIUE at 5:30 p.m.
