
McMillan Signs Four More For 2025-26

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team has announced the signing of four players for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The latest signees for head coach Kevin McMillan's team include two Division I transfers and two junior college transfers.
Grace Billington • G • 5-10 • So. • Moberly, Mo. (Murray State)
Billington spent her freshman season at Murray State where she was part of the Racers' Missouri Valley Conference regular-season and tournament championship campaign. She appeared in 14 games for Murray State for Murray State during their run to the NCAA tournament In her prep career at Moberly High School, Billington was a 2,000-point scorer, a three-time All-State selection, a four-time All-District selection and a four-time All-Conference selection.
McMillan on Billington: "Grace can play multiple positions and score from three levels. She comes from a strong program with a great background. She loves to compete and will be a great addition to our program."
Zy Thompson • F • 5-10 • R-So. • Zebulon, Ga. (Chatahoochee Valley CC/Pensacola State College)
Thompson comes to from UT Martin from Chattahoochee Valley Community College where she played 28 games as a redshirt freshman and earned NJCAA Division II All-American and All-Conference honors. Thompson averaged 15.7 points per game, 7.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game last season. The Georgia native notched 11 double-doubles, reached double-digits in scoring 21 times and scored 20 or more points in 10 games, including season-highs of 33 points and 17 rebounds.
McMillan on Thompson: "Zy is a unique post player whose length and athleticism give her the ability to compete at a high level. She can contribute in multiple ways from rebounding, scoring, blocking shots and taking charges."
Brittani Wells • G • 5-7 • Jr. • Lakeland, Tenn. (Three Rivers College)
Wells spent two seasons at Three Rivers where she averaged 7.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Last season, Wells averaged 8.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game en route to All-NJCAA Region 16 first-team honors. The incoming junior scored ten or more points on 12 occasions, notching season-highs of 21 points and 10 assists.
McMillan on Brittani Wells: "Brittani is a true point guard who is a 'team first' point guard. She can score when needed and get her teammates involved with her ability to see the floor and distribute the ball. She comes from winning programs and knows how to compete."
Destinee Wells • G • 5-6 • R-Sr. • Lakeland, Tenn. (Tennessee/Belmont)
Wells spent the past two seasons at Tennessee, where she appeared in 19 games for the Lady Vols. Wells is no stranger to the Ohio Valley Conference, after spending the first three seasons of her career at former member Belmont. She was a three-time first-team All-Conference selection for the Bruins, with two coming in the OVC and one in the Missouri Valley Conference, as well as the 2020-21 OVC Freshman of the Year. She started 90 of 91 career games at Belmont, averaging 18.1 points, 4.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game.
McMillan on Destinee Wells: "Destinee can play either guard position and has proven herself at elite levels. She knows and has done what is needed to be successful in the OVC and has what it takes to be a next-level player for us."
The four transfers join four returners: Norah Clark, Mikayla Lambert, Kenley McCarn, and Yar Tong, as well as five high school signees: Sidney Blackwell, Kennedy Horton, Sidney Middleton, Camden Ward and Nyjah Webster, bringing the Skyhawks roster total to 13 so far for the 2025-26 season.
