BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the second time this season, a University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball duo has been crowned Ohio Valley Conference Pair of the Week as Dylan Mott and Jenna Vallée achieved that feat today.
Mott/Vallée join Kayla Bryant/Olivia O'Keefe (March 5) as Skyhawks to win OVC Pair of the Week accolades in 2025. This marks the seventh career OVC Pair of the Week honor (with four separate partners) for Mott, a redshirt senior from Hendersonville, Tenn. Vallée, a senior out of Pornichet, France, secures this accolade for the first time in her career.
Representing UT Martin at the No. 1 slot in the lineup all season long, Mott/Vallée were major catalysts to the Skyhawks going 3-1 at the Sugar Beach Bash hosted by Southeastern Louisiana in Youngsville, La. last weekend.
The duo of Mott/Vallée began their week with a gutsy 18-21, 21-19, 15-13 triumph over their counterparts from Tulane, who was receiving votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association top-20 rankings.
Following a tight 23-25, 17-21 setback to their opponents from Spring Hill, Mott/Vallée bounced back with back-to-back victories. They won by 21-17, 21-12 and 24-22, 21-10 margins over the best pairs that Southeastern Louisiana and New Orleans had to offer, helping UT Martin improve to 7-5 after a three-match winning streak.
The Skyhawks open up a stretch of six consecutive home matches later this afternoon, hosting North Alabama for a double dual (12 p.m. and 2 p.m.).
