
Skyhawks Set For 2025 OVC Indoor Championships

MARTIN, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee at Martin track and field team will conclude the indoor portion of its schedule with the Ohio Valley Conference Championships from Tuesday, Feb. 25 through Wednesday Feb. 26 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The pavilion is located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds and will host the event for the first time. Home of the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, the facility is 196,000 square feet and opened in 2023.

Last season, the Skyhawks had two podium finishes from the women's distance medley relay team of Rita Eimer, Lydia Tankersley, Janay Chapman and Maggie Roy, while also earning second place in the men's long jump.

- Keagan Enicks is ninth in the OVC with a time of 14:55.62 in the 5,000m that he achieved at the Music City Challenge.
- Ja'Kobe Ward holds the six spot in the conference rankings for fastest time in the 60m hurdles (8.34).
- Hank Fisher's throw of 13.94m at last week's Redhawks Open gives him ninth in the shot put standings in the OVC.
- Maggie Roy (fourth, 2:14.31) and Rita Eimer (fifth, 2:14.54) hold two top-five OVC spots in the 800m.
- Eimer (ninth, 5:06.36) and Roy (10th, 5:06.52) also rank inside the top-10 in the conference for the one mile race with both their performances coming at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invite.
- The group of Roy, Eimer, Danielle Mudd and Reese Settle have the third best time in the OVC at 12:38.82 in the DMR.
- JaDerrika Welch-Fields' leap of 1.64m in the high jump stands as the sixth best performance in the OVC for the event.
- Welch-Fields also claims the third best outing in the pentathlon in the OVC with 3,059 points coming at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invite.
- Welch-Fields' 3,059 point performance in the pentathlon was a school-best in the competition.
- Fisher has set the school record for shot put on multiple occasions-most recently at the Redhawks Open (13.94m).
- Monro broke the school record in the one mile following a time of 4:09.25.
- Abbie Lloyd became the new school record holder in the pole vault after a 2.80m outing.
- Stewart snapped the school record in the 55m after crossing the finish line at 6.45 seconds.
