Weather Forces Cancellation Of Multiple Skyhawk Contests, Including Today’s FAMU Series Finale

MARTIN, Tenn.- Today's University of Tennessee at Martin baseball series finale against Florida A&M has been cancelled due to rain.
Because of inclement weather making its way to the area, the Skyhawks have also announced the rescheduling of all five games next week. UT Martin has moved its Feb. 18 road contest at Southern Illinois to March 26 and has cancelled five games for the week (Feb. 19 at Murray State, Feb. 21-23 at home against Akron).
Tentatively, the Skyhawks' next game will be on Feb. 25 on the road against Murray State. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
UT Martin went 2-1 in the opening weekend at Florida A&M, outscoring the defending SouthWestern Athletic Conference champions by an 18-11 margin. The Skyhawks outhit the Rattlers by a 26-16 margin while the UT Martin pitching staff posted a 3.38 ERA with 24 strikeouts over 24 innings of work.
