UT Martin Set For NCAA South Regional

MARTIN, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee at Martin cross country season rolls on this Friday, November 10 at the NCAA South Regional in Huntsville, Ala.
The men's team will compete in the 10k race while senior Maggie Roy and sophomore Danielle Mudd are representing the women's team in the 6k.
The Skyhawks will be among the nations elite which include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
Luke Johnson (reigning Ohio Valley Conference Athlete of the Championship) owns a career-best 10k time of 31:20.2 which he set at the 2023 South Regional. Fresh off an All-OVC first team nod, Angus Monro established a new PR of 32:10.4 at the 2024 South Regional. This marks the first collegiate 10k race for Will Douglas (PR of 24:57.1 in the 8k) who's been featured in the scoring five in each meet this year. David Stukey is coming off a PR of 25:07.3 in the 8k which aided the men's team in their championship victory two weeks ago. This will be the first collegiate 10k for the redshirt sophomore.
After notching all-conference honors for the first time in her career, Roy (PR at the OVC Championships of 21:57.8) will look to end her cross country season with an exclamation point. Mudd has been a steady performer for UT Martin this year and comes into Friday's meet after a PR of 22:19.0 (22nd) in the OVC Championships.
The women's race is set for 8:30 a.m. while the men's competition will begin at 9:30. The event can be followed on ESPN+ and through the live results link above.
