Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Media Day Rewind

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - With college basketball season fast approaching, representatives from the University of Tennessee at Martin women's and men's programs took part in Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Media Day festivities, held in downtown Evansville, Ind. on Tuesday.
The ceremony took place at the DoubleTree Hotel before ending with a luncheon at the Ford Center, the site of the 2026 OVC Basketball Championships on March 4-7. The venue is hosting the OVC's premier event for the ninth consecutive year and recently agreed to a longterm extension to keep the tournament through the 2032 season.
Head coach Kevin McMillan and redshirt junior guard Kenley McCarn represented the Skyhawk women's basketball squad while head coach Jeremy Shulman and redshirt junior forward Lamine Niang were in attendance from the UT Martin men's team. McCarn was spotlighted as a returning All-OVC performer while her teammate Norah Clark earned a spot on the OVC Players to Watch list. Niang joined teammate Afan Trnka on the OVC Players to Watch list on the men's side.
The four Skyhawks began their day with a live interview with Bob Belvin on ESPN+ before taping a pair of recorded video segments with OVC staff. Shulman and Niang also visited with ValleyHoopsInsider.com's Harry Schroeder for a live interview on YouTube before all four UT Martin representatives sat down for an exclusive 1-on-1 interview with Kevin Weaks from the Union City Messenger newspaper. A photo shoot followed before the luncheon, which featured a speaking segment from McCarn as part of a Q&A session with the league's top returners on both sides.
Season ticket packages are now on sale through the UT Martin Ticket Office at UTMSports.com/tickets. The 2025-26 Kathleen and Tom Elam Center schedule includes seven nonconference single-games and one nonconference doubleheader to go along with 10 Ohio Valley Conference doubleheaders. The season ticket package includes all home games for both the Skyhawk women's and men's basketball teams with the exception of the Nov. 9 women's matchup against Tennessee.
