BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the sixth time in the last three seasons, the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball program will be showcased on ESPNU as the Skyhawks' Feb. 1 road outing at Little Rock was selected as the Ohio Valley Conference's nationally televised "Wild Card" game. Tipoff from the Jack Stephens Center has been adjusted to 5 p.m. while the women's game between these two teams on the same date will now take place at 2 p.m.
The Feb. 1 game is the third of six dates in the OVC's linear television package agreement with ESPN for the 2024-25 regular season campaign. Contests on Feb. 8 (men's), Feb. 15 (women's), Feb. 22 and March 1 are yet to be announced as the "Wild Card" selection process are determined approximately two weeks before the competition date to ensure the best matchups. The ESPN family of networks will also broadcast the final three games of the 2025 OVC Championship tournament, including both semifinal matchups on March 7 and the championship game on March 8.
UT Martin will look for a season split against the Trojans as Little Rock escaped with a 57-56 win at the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center back on Jan. 2. The Skyhawks led for 36:52 of clock time in that game before the Trojans hit a go-ahead game-winning floater with 2.5 seconds remaining – ending the contest on a 10-2 run over the final 1:50.
