
Skyhawk Soccer Welcomes In Defending OVC Champion Tennessee Tech On Sunday; Match Time Pushed Back To 5 PM

MARTIN, Tenn.- After 21 days away from Skyhawk Field, the University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team will return home to play host to the Ohio Valley Conference preseason favorite Tennessee Tech on Sunday, Sept. 29. The start time has been moved back to 5 p.m. after several inches of rain in the area over the weekend.

UT Martin (2-5-3, 1-1-0 OVC) will open up its home conference slate after matches against SIUE (won 2-1) and Southern Indiana (lost 4-1). The Skyhawks are third in the OVC in shots (126) and second in shots on goal (58) while ranking third in the league in save percentage (.767).

Makayla Robinson (three goals) and Izzy Patterson (OVC-best four assists) have been on a tear to start the year, combining for 15 points. Sophomore Peyton Cook ranks inside the OVC's top-three in both shots (28, third) and shots on goal (17, second).
