BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin athletic department registered 31 Ohio Valley Conference Academic Medal of Honor recipients with an unblemished 4.0 Grade Point Average in 2023-24, the league announced today.
The 31 Skyhawk honorees are a school record, topping the 28 winners from the 2021-22 campaign. Collectively, UT Martin has combined for 412 OVC Academic Medal of Honor recipients since joining the league in 1992.
The OVC Academic Medal of Honor is given annually to the student-athletes who achieve the highest GPA in a Conference-sponsored sport. Overall, there were 311 OVC Academic Medal of Honor winners in 2023-24 – the second-highest tally in league history.
On an individual basis, Dylan Mott earned her fourth career OVC Academic Medal of Honor in volleyball (and third for beach volleyball). Receiving the third OVC Academic Medal of Honor of their career was Shae Littleford (women's basketball), Avry Blume (softball), Emily Brown (softball) and Izzy Patterson (soccer).
