Skyhawk Athletics Accounts For 168 OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll Winners in 2023-24

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Ohio Valley Conference unveiled its 2023-24 Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients today as a grand total of 168 University of Tennessee at Martin representatives made the list.
The 168 Skyhawk honorees are the third-most in school history, trailing only the 191 recipients in 2019-20 and 181 winners in 2020-21. Since UT Martin joined the OVC in 1992, the Skyhawks have generated 2,927 mentions on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
To be listed on the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll, recipients must have achieved at least a 3.25 Grade Point Average, have been eligible and on the team throughout the competitive season in their chosen NCAA-sponsored sport(s) and used a season of competition.
Individually, Kayla Carrell (volleyball/beach volleyball), Nick Fares (rifle), Baylor Jones (baseball), Haley Kane (equestrian), Bryson Morrell (golf), Haeleigh Paulino (volleyball/beach volleyball) and Jacob Uehlein (golf) all captured their fifth career nod on the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Receiving the fourth career OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll award was Alec Beaman (baseball), Kaci Fuller (softball), Sydney Hott (equestrian), Maddi Long (softball), Dylan Mott (volleyball), Emmy Reed (equestrian), Emma Schaefer (equestrian) and Bridget Vieau (equestrian).
The Skyhawk equestrian squad was responsible for the most OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipients amongst UT Martin programs with 22. Overall, a total of nine Skyhawk programs landed double-digit honorees on the annual list. The UT Martin men's basketball and volleyball teams dialed up the most honorees in the OVC for their respective sports.
It was previously announced last Friday that a school-record 29 Skyhawks claimed OVC Academic Medal of Honor accolades for perfect 4.0 GPA's. The OVC is announcing its Team Academic Achievement Award winners for the 2023-24 campaign tomorrow.
