- The Skyhawks led for over 38 minutes of Tuesday's game and never trailed, as it picked up its first win of the season with a 74-64 victory over Missouri State at the Kathleen & Tom Elam Center.
- In front of over 4,000 local school children for Education Day, the Skyhawks jumped out a 5-0 lead and never looked back. UT Martin would go on to lead by as many as 11 in the contest and held the lead for a total of 38 minutes and 32 seconds.
- Coming into the game shooting just 67.5-percent from the free throw line, the Skyhawks put on a clinic Tuesday by making 18 of 24 attempts for an 83.3-percent clip. UT Martin was also efficient from the field in the game, making 24 of 55 shots for 43.6-percent.
- Anaya Brown led three Skyhawks in double-digits in the game by tying her career-high with 25 points and notching the 11th double-double of her career, by also pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds. Brown was 8-for-19 from the floor in the game and 8-for-9 at the free throw line, to go along with two blocks.
- Shae Littleford was next in line for UT Martin with 15 points, including a six-for-six performance at the free throw line, while Kenley McCarn followed with 14. Lexi Rubel was also successful on the glass Tuesday with seven boards.
- With six against Missouri State, the Skyhawks have now made at least one 3-point field goal in 486 consecutive games, a streak which dates back to Feb. 3, 2009, against Austin Peay and currently, ranks 8th nationally.
- This week's games will mark the second appearance in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown, last appearing in 2012. The Skyhawks went 0-3 on that trip, falling to Hawai'i, No. 1 Baylor and No. 4 Samford. This year in Honolulu, the Skyhawks will take on another top five team in No. 1 UCLA, as well Hawai'i and Fresno State with Hawai'i being the only previous opponent in this year's field.
- When the Skyhawks suit up against UCLA Friday, it will mark the third time in program history that they will face off against the nation's top team. The last time that UT Martin faced a No. 1 team was in 2012, coincidentally, that meeting also took place in Honolulu at the Rainbow Wahine Showdown, against No. 1 Baylor. Friday will also be the second time this season the Skyhawks have taken on a Top 25 opponent, facing off against No. 17 Louisville earlier in November. UT Martin is 0-45 all-time against ranked opponents.
