- UT Martin hung with Central Arkansas for most of Saturday's game, but a 19-9 fourth quarter pushed the Sugar Bears past the Skyhawks, 87-67, at the Elam Center.
 - The Sugar Bears were hot from start to finish Saturday shooting a blistering 58.6-percent from the floor and 42.9 -percent from 3-point range, compared to 35.4-percent and 29.4-percent, respectively. However, at the charity stripe, UT Martin turned in their best performance of the season, going 16-for-20 for 80.0-percent.
 - Four Skyhawks reached double-digits Saturday night led by 15 from Anaya Brown, who also led the team in rebounds with six. Daejah Richmond followed with 13 points, including a 5-for-5 performance at the free throw line, while Kenley McCarn and Lexi Rubel added 12 and 10, respectively. Shae Littleford had a game-high five assists, to go along with six points and three steals.
 - Missouri State enters Tuesday's contest at 2-0 overall with wins over a pair of American Athletic Conference opponents. The Lady Bears scrapped out a 63-61 win over Tulsa at home on Nov. 10 and followed that with an 82-77 road win Nov. 13 at Wichita State.
 - Kyrah Daniels currently leads five Missouri State averaging double-digits on the season with 12.0 points, while Sarah Linthacum leads the Lady Bears on the boards with 9.0 per game, to along with 10.5 points. Perhaps, the most impressive fact is that Missouri State has been so successful playing just nine players over the first two games of the season.
 - With six against Central Arkansas, the Skyhawks have now made at least one 3-point field goal in 485 consecutive games, a streak which dates back to Feb. 3, 2009, against Austin Peay and currently, ranks 8th nationally.
 - Tuesday is Education Day at the Elam Center. Thousands of school children will descend on the UT Martin campus to watch the Skyhawks host Missouri State. While the stands will be packed with the youngest of Skyhawk fans, the general public is still welcome and invited to attend.
 - Despite the loss Saturday, the Skyhawks committed a season-low 10 turnovers, with no one player committing more than four.
 - A win Tuesday would end the Skyhawks four-game skid to start the season and a streak of six losses overall dating back to last season. It would also end a four-game slide for UT Martin at the Elam Center, also dating back to last season.
