
Skyhawk Soccer To Host Southeast Missouri For Senior Day And Youth Soccer Appreciation Day on Sunday

MARTIN, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team will close out the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. when it hosts Southeast Missouri for Senior Day and Youth Soccer Appreciation Day at Skyhawk Field.

All youth soccer players wearing their jersey and coaches will receive free admission to Sunday's contest.

Seniors Izzy Patterson, Makayla Robinson, Parker Gelinas, Nyeemah Prescod-Beckles and Brooke Kala will be honored prior to kick off to honor their contributions to the Skyhawk soccer program. This distinguished group has accounted for six All-Ohio Valley Conference nods, three OVC Tournament berths and the 2021 OVC regular season championship.

UT Martin (4-9-3, 3-5 OVC) has secured back-to-back shutouts in its last two matches and can claim a spot in the OVC Tournament for the eighth straight season on Sunday. The Skyhawks continue to rank among the league leaders in shots (216, second), corners (96, second) and saves (99, second).

Patterson is having a career year with four goals and four assists to place her in the top-10 in both categories in the conference. Peyton Cook is one of only three players in the OVC to rank inside the top-five in both shots (43, fourth) and shots on goal (26, third) while Robinson has scored four goals (tied for the team lead) and tallied one assist.

Goalkeeper Mac Titus has constructed three shutouts (third in the OVC) this year along with 86 saves (third in the OVC) and 5.38 saves per game (second in the OVC). Defenders Shayla Addington and Gelinas lead the team with 1,440 minutes this season.

The Redhawks are led in points by Emily Baker (five) while Cayla Koerner leads the team with 34 shots and 21 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Sophia Elfrink has made 42 saves in 1,125 minutes on the pitch.
