SKYHAWK MEN’S HOOPS ONCE AGAIN SELECTED FOR OVC WILD CARD ESPNU MATCHUP

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Another national television appearance is coming up for the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball squad as the Skyhawks were picked as the Ohio Valley Conference's "Wild Card" game at Western Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 10. Tipoff from Macomb, Ill. has been pushed up to 11 a.m. on ESPNU.
Today's announcement marks the second time that UT Martin men's hoops has been chosen as the OVC's featured game on ESPNU as the Skyhawks also led off the league's seven-game linear television package with a Jan. 4 home matchup against Eastern Illinois. For the second straight season, the OVC is utilizing a "Wild Card" selection process where selections are determined and announced approximately two weeks before the competition date to ensure the best matchups.
The OVC will later announce its ESPNU "Wild Card" matchups for a Feb. 22 women's contest and a Feb. 29 men's game. Three additional league contests will be aired live on the ESPN family of networks during the OVC Championships in Evansville, Ind. as ESPNU will handle both Friday, March 8 semifinal games before the Saturday, March 9 championship matchup will be broadcasted live on ESPN2.
