SKYHAWK TRACK AND FIELD NOTCHES MULTIPLE PERSONAL RECORDS AT BELLARMINE OPEN

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The University of Tennessee at Martin track and field team road several big performances to a successful day at the Bellarmine Open. Two podium finishes were found in the men's 4x400 relay and in the men's 60-meter hurdles.

- The group of Khalid White, Samir Smith, Chadwick Stewart and John Collin Askew helped bring home second place in the men's 4x400 relay with a time of 3:20.37.
- Sophomore Bryce Sparks earned third place after a blazing time of 8.46 in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Lisha McKenzie posted a time of 9.00 for a fourth place finish during the 60-meter hurdles. The junior was just 0.9 seconds shy of tying her personal record (8.91).
- Maggie Roy set a new PR in the 3k race, finishing at the 10:30.80 mark.
- In the men's 3k, Hudson Hall finished seventh (8:28.49) while freshman Angus Monro notched a new PR (8:38.76) in 14th.
- The Skyhawks saw two top-15 finishes in the women's one mile from Rita Eimer (eighth, 5:11.12, PR) and Lydia Tankersley (12th, 5:15.54). Eimer wasn't the only athlete to set a new PR as Violet Francisco (5:33.42) and Gabby Brown (5:33.64) bested their previous times.
- The men's mile group also performed well with a total of three top-15 finishes and six new PRs. Sam Shuman paced UT Martin in the event in 11th (4:21.03) while Luke Johnson (12th, 4:21.34) and David Stukey (13th, 4:21.60) crossed the finish line with new PRs. Ethan Knight (4:33.53), Hawken Foote (4:33.75), Colton King (4:35.66) and Maluke Cluver (4:40.07) also notched personal bests with quality performances of their own.
