
UT MARTIN MEN'S BASKETBALL BEGINS THREE-GAME ROAD SWING IN THE WINDY CITY WITH RETURN TRIP TO CHICAGO STATE

MARTIN, Tenn. – A lengthy road stretch for the University of Tennessee at Martin men's basketball squad starts with a Saturday, Nov. 25 matchup against the Chicago State Cougars for the second straight season. Tipoff from the Jones Convocation Center is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The Skyhawks' next three games will feature approximately 2,346 miles of travel as the first leg includes UT Martin's first visit to the Windy City since an 81-76 overtime victory at UIC on Dec. 15, 2014.
Last season in Martin, the Skyhawks led by 22 points at the halftime break before holding on for a 75-74 win in overtime against Chicago State. Desmond Williams (12 points, three assists, career-high five steals) and KK Curry (seven rebounds) were key contributors for the Skyhawks, who scored a season-low one fastbreak point.
UT Martin (4-2) is coming off an exhilarating 105-103 double overtime triumph over North Alabama on Wednesday. In that game, Jordan Sears accounted for a career-best 34 points and season-high seven assists while Issa Muhammad (18 points, career-best 18 rebounds) and Jacob Crews (14 points, 10 rebounds, career-high four steals) helped the Skyhawks outrebound the Lions by a 52-36 margin. Koby Jeffries and Sebastian Mendoza additionally added season-high scoring tallies with 12 and 11 points, respectively, for UT Martin.
The Cougars (2-5) are beginning a five-game homestand after an appearance in the Cancun Challenge, splitting a pair of one-point decisions (lost 78-77 in overtime to Northern Colorado on Tuesday, won 84-83 against Morgan State on Wednesday) earlier this week in Mexico.
In last year's tilt against the Skyhawks, Wesley Cardet, Jr. (25 points, nine rebounds, four assists), Jahsean Corbett (23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists) and Brent Davis (12 points, three steals) each scored in double digits for Chicago State.
