The University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball team will hit the road for a midweek matchup at ASUN foe North Alabama on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Tipoff from CB&S Bank Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
UT Martin (0-4) is looking to get in the win column for the first time this season after four tough non-conference matchups out of the gates. Most recently, the Skyhawks dropped a 55-38 decision to mid-major powerhouse South Dakota State at home. Skyhawk guard Kenley McCarn paced the team with 14 points in the contest while Anaya Brown chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.
Tuesday's contest renews an old rivalry dating back to the two programs time as Division II institutions in the Gulf South Conference. North Alabama holds a 14-5 lead in the all-time series while UT Martin won the last matchup back on Jan. 23, 1992 by a margin of 73-67. The Skyhawks have never won in Florence, Ala.
North Alabama (1-3) also looks to snap a losing streak after dropping its last three contests by an average of 18.3 points per game. The Lions are led in scoring by Martin native Alexis Callins who is averaging 12.8 points per game and recently scored 19 points against Southern Miss. Senior guard Sara Wohlgemuth is also a key contributor, leading the ASUN with 6.0 assists per game.
While the game will be streamed exclusively on ESPN+, fans can tune into the Skyhawk Sports Network locally to hear Chris Brinkley (play-by-play) and David Williams (analyst) call the action. Games are broadcast on WCMT "Talk and News You Can Use!" with simulcasts on 1410 AM, 100.5 FM, 92.7 FM, 96.1 FM, 99.7 FM and 103.3 FM.
