McMillan Releases Skyhawks’ 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

MARTIN, Tenn. – A trip to Florida, two Power Four schools, and a visit from a perennial SEC contender highlight the 2026-27 University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball schedule, head coach Kevin McMillan announced Friday.
The Skyhawks' upcoming non-conference schedule features 16 total games: seven home, seven away, and the previously announced Emerald Coast Classic in Niceville, Florida. UT Martin will open play in the classic Nov. 23 against Virginia Tech and then play either Alcorn State or Michigan State Nov. 24.
Perhaps no game on the schedule is bigger than the Nov. 8 visit from SEC power Mississippi State. The game marks the fourth straight season and the fifth time in the last six seasons that a Power Four school has visited the Elam Center. The Skyhawks hosted Tennessee last season, Louisville in 2024-25, Vanderbilt in 2023-24 and the Bulldogs in 2021-22.
UT Martin officially opens its 2026-27 schedule Nov. 2 at home when it welcomes former Ohio Valley Conference rival Eastern Kentucky. This season, the Skyhawks will also host Christian Brothers Nov. 5, Butler Nov. 15, Champion Christian Nov. 18, North Alabama Dec. 5 and Southern Arkansas Dec. 13.
UT Martin will make trips to two Power Four opponents this season with Missouri on Nov. 12 and Purdue Nov. 29. The Skyhawks' non-conference away slate is rounded out by visits to Southern Illinois Nov. 21, Evansville Dec. 10, Tulsa Dec. 18, Samford Dec. 20 and UAB Dec. 22.
The 2026-27 OVC schedule begins for the Skyhawks Dec. 30 at the Elam Center when they host Morehead State.
