
SKYHAWK FOOTBALL REMAINS IN BOTH NATIONAL POLLS FOLLOWING BYE WEEK

MARTIN, Tenn. – With the bye week in the rearview mirror, the University of Tennessee at Martin football team opens the second half of the season ranked in both national polls, sitting No. 17 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and No. 19 in the AFCA Coaches' Poll for the second consecutive week.
The Skyhawks (5-1, 2-0 Big South-OVC) are winners of five straight contests while boasting a perfect 5-0 mark against FCS opponents – including winning a nationally ranked overtime clash against No. 25 Eastern Illinois in their previous outing.
UT Martin ranks in the top-25 nationally in 10 different team categories and 14 individual categories. The squad sits among the nation's top 10 teams in blocked kicks allowed (first, zero), blocked punts allowed (first, zero), winning percentage (fourth, 83 percent), rushing offense (fifth, 255.2 ypg), team tackles for loss (fifth, 8.0), net punting (fifth, 42.67), total offense (seventh, 464.5 ypg) and rushing defense (ninth, 89.5 ypg).
