EVENING RAIN FORECAST HALTS UTM BASEBALL’S WEDNESDAY DATE WITH CHRISTIAN BROTHERS

MARTIN, Tenn. – An unfavorable prognosis of precipitation for later this evening has effectively forced the University of Tennessee at Martin baseball team and their intended opponent Christian Brothers to cancel Wednesday's non-conference meeting. The Skyhawks still have a home series to look forward to this weekend when the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles visit UTM beginning just 48 hours from now.
In what was initially scheduled to be the final matchup outside of OVC territory at home on UT Martin's 2022 plate, the Skyhawks have now been dealt with six more appearances from their own backyard over the rest of the semester, the first half of which will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday versus TTU. Overall, the navy and orange have 16 games remaining on the spring calendar, 12 of them against league adversaries.
Following Wednesday's weather-related cancellation involving the Buccaneers, UTM quickly turns their attention to Tennessee Tech for Friday's Game 1 at 5:00 p.m. All three outings against the Golden Eagles will be streamed live via ESPN+ with a much more suitable atmospheric outlook of temperatures in the high 70's and low 80's.
