UTM BASEBALL CANCELS TUESDAY TRIP TO UNION ON ACCOUNT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER

JACKSON, Tenn. – Due to a heavy dose of rain at the top of the week and a forecast of continued precipitation, the University of Tennessee at Martin baseball team's scheduled visit to Union University on Tuesday afternoon has been canceled. The Skyhawks will now turn their attention back to Ohio Valley Conference competition on Thursday, headed to Murray State for a three-game series against the Racers on the road.
After narrowly falling to Austin Peay on Sunday in a 12-10 seesaw affair, UTM continues their annual series with a close rival 48 hours from now. As opposed to every other OVC series in 2022, the Skyhawks' drive to Murray begins a day earlier in anticipation of the Easter holiday.
With Tuesday's non-conference matchup now called off thanks to interference from local weather, the Skyhawks will visit a Murray State venue where they have achieved 16 victories since the two sides became OVC adversaries.
First pitch in Thursday's Game 1 against the Racers is penned for 5:00 p.m., streamed live via ESPN+.
