CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Because of heavy snow accumulation that hit the area on Friday evening, the University of Tennessee at Martin beach volleyball's regularly scheduled Saturday, March 12 matches at the Governors Beach Challenge have been postponed.
The Skyhawks were originally supposed to play Carson-Newman at 1 p.m. and Jacksonville State at 4 p.m. today. However, the playing conditions on the courts at the Govs Beach Volleyball Complex were unplayable because of 2.5 inches of snow that fell over the Clarksville area last night.
Weather permitting, UT Martin is now aiming to play a pair of matches on Sunday, March 13. The Skyhawks are scheduled to take on Jacksonville State at 12:30 p.m. and tournament host Austin Peay at 2 p.m.
