MARTIN, Tenn. – University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball coach Kevin McMillan has announced the addition of four standout athletes who have signed national letters of intent on the opening day of the early signing period. The Skyhawks welcome Morgan Borgstadt (Claremore, Okla.), Norah Clark (Springfield, Mo.), Kendal George (Centerville, Ohio) and Tori Rubel (Cape Girardeau, Mo.) to its 2023 signing class.
"We are excited to add this group to our program," McMillan said. "They add great depth and fill in nicely with the classes in front of them. This group brings size, scoring, and athleticism on the court as well as being selfless, tenacious and coachable to add to our culture. We recruit great teammates who put the team first and believe in the culture that we continue to build here at UT Martin. We also recruit all around basketball players and this groups fits that bill."
Morgan Borgstadt | Guard | 6-0 | Fr. | Claremore, Okla. (Verdigris HS)

Borgstadt joins the Skyhawks after prepping at Verdigris High School for head coach Mike Buntin. She averaged 19.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game during her junior campaign. She shot 45 percent from the field and 37 percent from beyond the arc. Her strong play led to her being named to the SBLive Oklahoma all-state second team. For her career, she has scored over 1,000 points while tallying 384 rebounds, 150 assists, 188 steals and 47 blocks.
"Morgan can play anywhere on the floor and brings an unmatched toughness as we have watched her develop," McMillan said. "She can score, defend, and rebound and brings a workmanlike attitude to the floor every day. She is not afraid to do all the 'dirty' work to help her teammates and team. Her ability to play so many positions and battle from so many spots makes her a tremendous asset and fits perfectly with our program."
Norah Clark | Forward | 6-1 | Fr. | Springfield, Mo. (Nixa HS)

Clark joins the Skyhawks after prepping at Nixa High School for head coach Jennifer Perryman. She averaged 9.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals as a junior. Her strong junior campaign led to being named to the All-Central Ozark Conference postseason second team squad. She helped lead the Eagles to a 24-5 record and an undefeated Central Ozarks Conference championship. She was also an all-district and all-region performer in volleyball.
"Norah is another extremely versatile player who can play both inside and out," McMillan noted. "She is deceptively athletic, and her competitiveness is off the charts. She can defend bigger and quicker players which fits nicely with balancing out our team. She has an edge to her game which allows her to compete at the highest level, and she already has figured out how to score from multiple levels."
Kendal George | Guard | 5-9 | Fr. | Centerville, Ohio (Centerville HS)

George joins the Skyhawks after prepping at Centerville High School for head coach Adam Priefer. She averaged 14.4 points per game as a junior while shooting over 40 percent from the field and 39 percent from three-point range. She was rewarded for her campaign by being named to the All-GWOC first team while being tabbed District 15 Underclass Player of the Year along with garnering District 15 Underclass All-Star recognition. She has also left a mark on her school by setting a pair of program single-season three-point records along with ranking as the school's leader in career three-point field goals made.
"Kendal can put the ball in the hole," McMillan said. "She is a tremendous shooter with extremely deep range. What separates her after watching her and talking with her coaches, is her competitiveness. She is a winner and will relentlessly stick her nose in the middle of the battle. She is not afraid to be coached and will rise to each challenge she is given. She fills a void that will be left from our seniors."
Tori Rubel | Forward | 6-1 | Fr. | Cape Girardeau, Mo. (Notre Dame HS)

Rubel joins the Skyhawks after prepping at Notre Dame High School for head coach Kirk Boeller. During her junior campaign, she averaged 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game before seeing her season cut short with an injury. During one of her best stretches of the season she averaged 14.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game. She helped her team to three consecutive 20-win seasons along with both district and conference championships last season while ranking as the No. 3 prospect in Missouri's Class of 2023 according to Prep Girls Hoops. Individually, she garnered her third all-district honor as a junior while also being named to the SEMO All-Conference team. She is set to join her sister, Lexi, who is a member of the Class of 2022 and a freshman for the Skyhawks.
"Tori brings another level of versatility to our program," McMillan said. "She shoots the ball tremendously well and with her size can present problems for teams at multiple spots. She knows the program well with Lexi being here and is excited to become a part. She can rebound, put the ball on the floor, shoot it and has a tremendous basketball IQ. She has the ability to fit into the program in a variety of ways."
