SKYHAWK TRACK AND FIELD ANNOUNCES 2022 INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SCHEDULE

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin track and field head coach Jolyta Henderson has announced the team's 2022 indoor schedule which features four meets prior to the Ohio Valley Conference Championship along with its full outdoor slate.
UT Martin opens its indoor season this weekend at the Redhawks Invite in Cape Girardeau, Mo. on Saturday, Jan. 15. The Skyhawks will compete in another meet in January when traveling to the Bellarmine Open on Friday, Jan. 21 in Louisville, Ky.
The Skyhawks will return to competition in Louisville two weeks later at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Friday, Feb. 4. The following week the squad will travel to the prestigious Hoosier Hills in Bloomington, Ind. on Friday, Feb. 11 for the team's final tune-up prior to the league championship.
The OVC Indoor Track and Field Championship will return to Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. from Feb. 23-24. It will mark the third time – joining 2019 and 2020 – that the event has been held at the world class venue.
UT Martin will transition into the outdoor season with the opener slated for the Margaret Simmons Invite in Murray, Ky. on March 25-26 to start a streak of six consecutive weeks of competition.
The Skyhawks will also travel to the Joey Haines Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Mo. (Apr. 1-2), Flames Invitational in Cleveland, Tenn. (Apr. 8), Little Rock Twilight in Little Rock, Ark. (Apr. 15), Red Wolves Open in Jonesboro, Ark. (Apr. 22-23) and Outdoor Music City Challenge in Nashville, Tenn. (Apr. 29-30).
The OVC Outdoor Track and Field Championship will be held at Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray, Ky. from May 11-13.
