
UT MARTIN FOOTBALL MOVES UP ONE SPOT TO 11TH IN FCS COACHES POLL

MARTIN, Tenn. – Following the team's seventh straight win, the University of Tennessee at Martin football team moved up one spot in the AFCA FCS Coaches' Top 25 into No. 11 in the weekly national poll. Meanwhile, the Skyhawks enter their ninth week of the season ranked No. 15 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll.
Prior to the Skyhawks 17-16 win over Austin Peay last week, UT Martin was previously ranked 12th in the AFCA Coaches' Poll while sitting tied for 13th in the Stats Perform Poll. UT Martin is the only Ohio Valley Conference program to be ranked or receive votes in either poll. The team's No. 11 ranking sits as the highest position for the program since Week 11 of the 2006 season when UT Martin was ranked No. 8 in both national polls.
Additionally, the Skyhawks lead the OVC in scoring offense (31.8 ppg), total offense (414.2 ypg), rushing offense (221.0 ypg), PAT kicking (100 percent), sacks against (seventh), interceptions (nine), third-down conversions (45.5 percent), opponent fourth-down conversions (31.2 percent) and time of possession (33:59). Meanwhile, the team also ranks second amongst league leaders in scoring defense (26.8 ppg), rushing defense (118.6 ypg), pass efficiency (131.7), first downs (20.2), opponent first downs (18.0), red zone defense and fourth-down conversions (57.1 percent).
