
UT MARTIN SOCCER TO PLAY HOST TO BIG TEN FOE INDIANA ON THURSDAY NIGHT

MARTIN, Tenn. – Fresh of a four-game road trip with matches in four different states, the University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team will return home to Skyhawk Field to play host to Big Ten foe Indiana on Thursday, Sept. 12. Action is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN+.
The Skyhawks (2-2-2) faced strong opponents on the road at Evansville, Western Carolina, Mississippi State and Middle Tennessee over the past two weeks while going 1-2-1 during the stretch. In the team's most recent outing against Middle Tennessee, the Skyhawks rallied to score a pair of goals in the second half, highlighted by junior Baylee Arnott's game-winner in the 84th minute to lift the squad to a 2-1 victory.
UT Martin is led offensively by redshirt-sophomore Jill Hildreth who paces the team with nine points on the season, including four goals and an assist. The pair of Arnott and Hendrikje Baurmann have also tallied four points on the seasons – combining for three goals and two assists.
Junior goalkeeper Erica Myers has played in all 578 minutes for the Skyhawks this season. Myers has recorded one shutout, while allowing 1.71 goals per game and tallying 36 saves through six games.
Indiana (2-3) travels south to play their third OVC opponent of the season after falling on the road to Murray State (2-1) and defeating Morehead State (5-0) earlier in the season. The Hoosiers are led by Chandra Davidson with a team-high three goals on the season while Avery Lockwood has also tallied a pair. In goal, Bethany Kopel has posted 12 saves while allowing 1.20 goals per game along with two shutouts.
This marks the first meeting in series history between the two programs.
