
CHELSEY PERRY EARNS BACK-TO-BACK OVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – For the second straight week, University of Tennessee at Martin women's basketball forward Chelsey Perry has been named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week after a pair of 24-point performances last week.
A native Middleton, Tenn., Perry continued her strong play with back-to-back 24 point outings against Southern Illinois and Chattanooga last week, averaging 24.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. Against the Salukis, Perry shot 44.4 percent from the floor while knocking down six free throws en route to 24 points, five rebounds, three blocks and a steal on the road. Then against the Mocs she made 10-of-19 field goal attempts (52.6 percent) while recording 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and block.
Perry currently ranks third in the OVC in scoring with 17.0 points per game while sitting first in blocks (21) and second in minutes played per game (32.2).
