SKYHAWK EQUESTRIAN COMPETITIONS IN DELAWARE CANCELLED BECAUSE OF WEATHER
11/16/2018 11:17:00 AM | Equestrian
MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin's two scheduled equestrian competitions this weekend have been cancelled as travel issues prevented the Skyhawks from making the trip to Delaware.
UT Martin was set to take on No. 8 Delaware State and No. 2 SMU today in Dover, Del. but the hazardous weather forced the Skyhawks' flight to be cancelled.
With the cancellations, UT Martin's fall season is now complete. The Skyhawks posted a 2-5 record against a grueling schedule that included four nationally ranked opponents. Individually, four different UT Martin riders (Noel Meadows, Kelby Kane, Tess Baumann, Monika Zoromski) combined to nab a total of seven NCEA Rider of the Month or United Equestrian Conference Rider of the Week awards.
The Skyhawks will open their 2019 spring season at home against current No. 9 ranked Georgia on Thursday, Jan. 24. Action from the Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
