Zarecor was one of the standouts for the UT Junior College teams in the 1930's. He was a member of the UTJC team for two years.
He was a standout at tackle on the UTJC teams which posted a 15 2-1 record over the span which included an 8-0 mark in 1936. He left UTJC for Memphis State where he continued playing football. His career at Memphis State was honored with induction into that school's hall of fame in 1983
