2016-17: Showed promise as a true freshman, overcoming a midseason wrist injury to appear in 19 games off the bench...Averaged 1.8 points and 1.0 rebounds in 5.9 minutes per game, sinking 52.4 percent (11-of-21) of his field goal attempts and 85.7 percent (12-of-14) of his free throws...Best game came against Boyce College on Dec. 4, when he tallied career-highs in points (11), rebounds (eight), assists (three), steals (two) and minutes played (24)...Went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line against both No. 1 Kentucky (Nov. 25) and against Arkansas State (Dec. 14).
BEFORE UTM: Played for head coach Faragi Phillips at Whitehaven High School...Was named the No. 15 prospect in the state of Tennessee by BigShots.net...Was named an All-Region 8AAA performer and a Class AAA “Best of the Preps” selection by the Memphis Commercial Appeal following a senior season where the Tigers made the District 16-AAA semifinals...Went off for several big games against stiff competition, including tossing in a team-high 19 points against eventual state champion Memphis East on Jan. 12...Before enrolling at Whitehaven, he also played for Phillips at Mitchell High School in Memphis...Was part of a Tiger squad that posted a combined 62-12 record and back-to-back Class A state championships during his sophomore and junior seasons, earning honorable mention All-Region 8A accolades in 2014-15.
