Skyhawks Close Out Non-Conference Play at Home Sunday Against Jax State

MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin soccer team looks to close out non-conference play with a win when it welcomes former Ohio Valley Conference rival Jacksonville State to the Skyhawk Soccer Field Sunday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
After a loss last Sunday to Southern Illinois, the Skyhawks will look to try and get off a three-game skid Sunday against the Gamecocks. Each of the Skyhawks' four losses this season have been by the slimmest of 1-0 margins and they have scored and allowed nine goals this year.
Allie Carroll and Unni Wolf lead the team with two goals each, while Alberte Amby, Peyton Cook, Addy McCleary and Alex Weihs have each scored once. In goal, Mac Titus has one shutout and leads the OVC in goals-against average (0.90) and save percentage (83.3).
Jacksonville State enters Sunday's matchup at 3-4-2 overall after rallying to beat Gardner-Webb, 3-2, on the road Wednesday. Emma Reeder leads the Gamecocks with six goals so far in 2026, while Amelia Jacobs and Sunny Ferren each have three assists. Ella Holmberg has been the go-to in goal for Jax State this season with a record of 1-4-2, a goals against average of 3.33 and a save percentage of 56.0. As a team, Jacksonville State has allowed 24 goals on the year, while scoring 15.
The Skyhawks and Gamecocks have not met since Jax State departed the OVC in 2021. Sunday will be the 21st overall meeting in the series between the two teams, with UT Martin leading 11-5-4 overall and 7-2-1 in Martin.
