UT Martin Garners OVC Preseason Accolades

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.- The 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Cross Country season is fast approaching and University of Tennessee at Martin standouts Reese Settle, Will Douglas, Keagan Enicks and Angus Monro earned preseason honors from the league.
The junior Settle has been a mainstay in the Skyhawk scoring five during her first two seasons at UT Martin. Her best finish at the OVC Championships came in 2024 when she finished with a time of 22:34.1 (6k) which was just three places off earning all-conference second team accolades. She posted a personal best in the 5k in the 2025 campaign with a time of 18:44.9 during the Southern Showcase.
For the second straight season, Camden, Tenn. native Will Douglas has garnered preseason OVC Runner to Watch accolades. The senior made an immediate impact in his debut season at UT Martin, appearing in the scoring five in every meet during the Skyhawks march to the conference title. He PR'd during the team victory at the SEMO Redhawks XC invite with a fifth place finish coming from a time of 15:20.4, while also setting a new personal best in the 8k (24:57.1) at the Gans Creek Classic.
The senior Monro was a catalyst in the program's first ever OVC Championship win, last season. The Auckland, New Zealand native finished fourth during the conference championship meet with a time of 24:28.67 (PR, 8k) which helped secure him first team accolades. In 2024, he was named to the all-conference second team following a time of 24:36.7.
Enicks was another major contributor from last season's conference championship team. The 2024 OVC Freshman of the Year collected his second straight All-OVC honor with a spot on the second team from a time of 24:55.42 at the league championship. The Blue Springs, Mo. native owns a personal best of 24:38.8 in the 8k competition.
UT Martin begins the 2026 campaign Saturday, September 5 at the Memphis Twilight meet. The women's team will start the season at 9:20 p.m. in the 5k race while the men's team will compte in the four mile at 10 p.m.
